South Peace Outfitters also offers winter Alberta wolf and coyote
hunts. Wolf hunts and coyote hunts can be baited, calling, or "spot
& shoot" style hunts. Bait stations are established well
in advance of the wolf and coyote hunters arrival, and hunters enjoy
the comfort of heated blinds. Several calling setups can be done
daily covering a large hunting area. Shot opportunities are possible
while traveling to and from baiting and calling setups throughout
the day. The winter season wolf hunts and coyote hunts are done
from our residence where you enjoy all the comforts of home.
Alberta wolf and coyote hunt licenses
can be included with any big game hunt for an additional fee of
only $50.00. This license permits the hunter to take any number
of wolves or coyotes during their big game hunt.
Alberta Fishing Trips
During the early and mid summer months the walleye fishing on Lesser
Slave Lake is unbelievable! The walleye are very aggressive and
competitive for available feed after coming back into the lake following
the spring spawn. Lesser Slave also offers some great northern pike
and perch fishing. Jigging and trolling are popular methods for
walleye action; fly fishing and spoon casting near the weed beds
for northern pike can be exciting! Several other lakes in the region
offer additional walleye, northern pike, and perch fishing opportunities,
as well as some trout fishing options.
Winter ice fishing for walleye, northern
pike, perch, and trout makes a great winter getaway. Heated shelters
are comfortable and relaxing. Nothing beats a fresh fried walleye
fillet cooked over a wood stove in the middle of January! Trap line
excursions and wolf/coyote hunts make a good winter combo with ice
fishing.
