No matter which moose bowhunt you choose, we are sure you will have an unforgetable experience.Archery Alberta Moose Hunting:The early archery only season gives bowhunters a great opportunity to pursue moose. This is an ideal time to bowhunt Alberta moose as the bulls enter the pre-rut stage and respond readily to challenge and tending calls. During the archery season the bulls begin some pre-rut rituals and start frequenting mineral licks and water holes in search of cows. During the latter part of the archery season bulls will respond to calling as they do in the general rut season. When Alberta bull moose are responding to lovesick cow calls the bow hunter will experience a number of calling setups in a day of bow hunting. During the archery only season we attempt to book a maximum of two bowhunters per week, unless by special request. We also offer archery moose hunts during the general hunting season. Moose rut bowhunts take place during the last week of September through the end of October. During the peak of the moose rut the lovesick bulls can be called into bow or rifle range. Whether hunting from stands or calling the moose in close, we have enjoyed a near 100% opportunity rate on bulls. Moose post rut hunts takes place in November, or post-rut. This can be a great time to hunt Alberta moose. Bulls may still respond to some cow calling and are actively feeding in open, logged areas replenishing body fat lost during the rut period.
